Ringside (Ringside Data Ltd) offers analytical tools to advertisers, advertising networks and agencies to help them understand the performance of their marketing activities.
This policy will go through and describe how Ringside (“Ringside”, “we”, “us”) collect, store, use and disclose data and information we gather through technologies on ringside.ai, our marketing data platform and other platforms where we directly reference this policy operated by us. Where used “Customer” refers to paying customers of Ringside platform.
We may collect information provided within forms such as your email, phone number when a user wants to learn more about our services or becomes a customer. We automatically will capture a number of non PII (personally identifiable Information) datasets around your device, browser and usage of the website using the Ringside tags. We also capture IP address to allow for a blacklist of IP’s for security purposes.
When you are on a customers website we are capturing the same information (Ringside.ai - Platform and on the public website) we are currently on the ringside.ai website (we are our own customer). The main thing to be clear is that no PII is captured by Ringside - everything is aligned to the Ringside User ID which is our own created anonymous identifier for a user.
Customers may provide Ringside with data (based on the permissions they have received) which we will supplement the captured data. This could include historic data on product and sale performance which can help guide the machine learning to understand the past. Ringside will not store or process any PII information on our customers behalf - all data will be anonymised and often aggregated.
We use a number of 3rd party platforms on the Ringside.ai website which allows us to understand the performance of our activities, provide support services to both new visitors and customers alike. These platforms may be capturing information on your browser, browser settings, campaign details, website usage.
The third parties that provide us with these services may also collect information about your use of their platforms of services. An example of this is Google Analytics. If you want to find out more about the way they capture information and how to opt out visit their site found at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We may also integrate 3rd party advertising pixels - these network advertisers may use this and other information they have collected about you to deliver targeted advertisements for products and services in which you might be interested.
If you prefer not to receive targeted advertising, you can opt-out of some network advertising programs that use your information. To do so, please visit the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) Opt-Out Page: http://www.aboutads.info/choices.
Customer information is shared with that customer only. With permission from the customer themselves their information may also be shared for marketing purposes on a case by case basis. Some aggregated datasets are used in an anonymous manner cross customer with permission from each individual customer.
Each customer provides access to their service providers and aggregated data can be passed to 3rd parties to support performance increases in marketing. As example a keyword performance can be aggregated for a period of time so much so that an attributed CPA is passed back into a bidding tool.
We may disclose information about you: (i) if we are required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (ii) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities; (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect against or respond to physical, financial or other harm, injury, or loss to property; or (iv) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual unlawful activity. For more information on this please email legal (email@example.com).
We reserve the right to transfer your information to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company or we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our assets.
We may also disclose your information with your permission. In addition, we may share anonymous and aggregated reports and information on user demographics and traffic patterns with third parties or for marketing purposes.
The data that the Ringside platform collects is used to help our customers better understand the value of their marketing activity. This is done through the web frontend, direct data access or via API’s.
With permission (based on when you gave us the information in the first point) we may use your contact details to send you emails, SMS, push notifications etc. You can opt-out at any time from marketing or promotional messages.
We may use aggregated, anonymised data for means other than the above.
If you do not wish for Ringside to track you - we have a universal opt out cookie (which impacts all Ringside customers). This will need to be added to all your browsers on all devices (if you have multiple phones/computers). Due to the nature of how cookies work - if you clear cookies you will need to re-apply the cookie.
Some browsers have started to support a Do Not Track functionality - Ringside currently doesn't integrate with this solution and we currently have no plans to do so. If you would like to find out more please email us at legal (firstname.lastname@example.org)
We hold all data in the Google Cloud Platform and confirm to all their advised security advisories. We have processes for technical and physical safeguards that are design to protect, secure and administer the lack of disclosure of data. Due to being an internet based service we understand that we cannot guarantee 100% security and therefore cannot be held responsible for the security of information you transmit to us over networks that we do not control.
We do not knowingly store information on users under 13 - if we become aware of this we will quickly take actions to remove data. If you are aware of any cases where we would hold any PII or identifying information please let us know at legal (email@example.com).
