Support & Onboarding

Set up by the same
team who built it

Implementation, training and support included with every contract.

What we need from you

Two changes to your site, and access to the platforms you already use.

1. One DNS record

A standard change, a few minutes for whoever manages your domain.

2. One line in the head of your pages

If you use a shared template, that’s a single edit. Read more...

3. One extra field on your lead forms

If your sales happen off-site rather than in a basket.

4. Read access to your CRM & ad platforms

Clicking, not coding.

About an hour of developer time in total, and we send the code snippet you need. Once that line is live, we’re collecting.

Everything past that point is ours.

dataLayer

Getting the most from Ringside

Collecting data is the easy half. Making it mean something depends on how your site is built.

If you have a well-maintained data layer, configuration is quick and we do all of it. If you don’t, we’ll try to work from your site’s structure instead, which takes us longer but costs you nothing.

Sometimes the data simply isn’t there. A site that doesn’t expose product or transaction detail can’t have it inferred, by us or by anyone. In that case there’s development work, and it lands on your team.

What we can promise is that you’ll know before you sign. We look at every site before we quote, the list is specific rather than open-ended, and we write the spec. And because the tag is already collecting, that work runs alongside a live implementation rather than in front of one.

We’ll also need to agree what counts as a conversion, and for businesses with long or offline sales cycles that’s a conversation rather than a task. Usually an hour of your time, once.

Your first week

Day One

DNS record updated, one line added to your head. Collection starts.

Day Two

We connect whatever we have access to and begin building your configuration. Ad platform and CRM access often takes longest, because it goes through people who aren’t in the room. That doesn’t hold anything up, and when access does arrive we backfill, so you don’t lose any time you might have spent waiting for someone to approve a login.

Day Five

You’re in the dashboard, with data populating, and we’re ready to walk you through what’s there.

Caveats

That’s a clean site with a solid data layer, which not every site is. Where yours needs work, the first two days don’t change. You’re still collecting from day one. What moves is how quickly the reporting gets to full depth, and we’ll have told you which parts before you signed anything.

Custom presets

Presets and custom views come after a conversation about what your team needs to see, which is worth having early. Training is booked whenever you can get your people together. That one’s on your calendar rather than ours, and the sooner it happens the sooner the platform is doing its job.

Shopify logo

Shopify ready in hours

We spent a long time perfecting our Shopify setup. For ecommerce stores built on the Shopify platform, Ringside seamlessly integrates with their Web Pixels API and comprehensive tracking can be up and running on most stores within hours.

Training, for the people who’ll actually use it

Attribution reporting gets read by people who want different things from it. Your performance marketer needs to know what to change on Monday. Your finance lead needs a number that reconciles. Your board wants one chart.

We train for that, rather than walking everyone through the same feature tour. Sessions are booked around your team, and repeated for anyone who joins later.

Managed by us, for you

Ringside is configured by us rather than by you. That’s deliberate. Attribution setups break in quiet ways when they’re edited by people who aren’t looking at the whole picture, and the person best placed to make a change is the person who built the thing being changed.

So when you need a new event tracked, a campaign taxonomy fixed, a view built for a new market, you ask. Shared channel, email, or from inside the dashboard. It’s the same people who did your implementation, so there’s nothing to explain from scratch.

No change requests, no scoping calls, no quotes. Ask, and it gets done.

Support

You’ll have a shared channel with us, but email, video call and the phone are all fine too.

If something looks odd in the dashboard, you can ask us about it directly from the screen you’re looking at. Click the question mark in the top right and your message comes through with the page and settings attached, so you don’t have to explain which report, filters or date range you mean.

But most questions aren’t problems. Often it’s just a number you weren’t expecting and you want to know whether it’s right, which is a completely reasonable thing to ask. We’d much rather you asked than didn’t, and if it’s easier to work through together, we’ll get on a call and help. Because the people answering are the people who built your implementation.

We notice when things break. Sites change and tracking breaks with them. We’re in the data often enough that we usually spot it, and when we do, we fix it and tell you. If you know a rebuild or a replatform is coming, tell us early and we’ll be ahead of it rather than behind it.

Not sure what your site would need?

We look at every site before we quote, so you’ll know what’s involved before you commit to anything. Usually it’s the hour above. Occasionally there’s something in the way, and it’s better for both of us if you know that now.

No commitment and no charge.

Get in touch and we’ll take a look at your website.
